20089 courses for 3 schools of which 5 in China.  During his teenage years, Dr. Kettemborough was a Math Wiz.  He participated in Local, regional/province, and national level Math Olympics every year during High School placing in the top 3.  Later on, he was admitted to the University, College of Mathematics, after a national level 4-day contest (3 written exams plus an oral) where he placed first!  So, since Math was his “first love,” and he has been teaching and tutoring Math for years, a nostalgia “conquered” him, based on which he decided to go back to graduate school for a master’s in Math.

Paper submitted to American Mathematical Society. October 2007. Sponsor/Advisor: Prof. William Watkins, PhD., California State University at Northridge.

2006 27 courses for 4 schools of which 11 were online, 6 in China, 2 (Corporate Training) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and 1 in each of the following cities: Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City.  Dr. Kettemborough completes his 4th master’s degree in Education Leadership at Azusa Pacific University.  In parallel with the above, Dr. Kettemborough started a part-time tutoring career (www.Expert-Tutors.com) (Math, Sciences, Languages), logging over 3,000 hours of tutoring in the coming years, K-12, SAT, ACT, GRE tests, and junior college levels, at Sylvan, PTA, Take Lessons, and private.

200070 courses (a record) for 13 schools (another record).  As the Internet/Web is ubiquitous, online education and training take off.  Thus, another lifetime opportunity for Dr. Kettemborough, being there, as a pioneer!  Thus, Dr. Kettemborough’s online teaching continues with 10 courses taught at UCLA and UCI.  Dr. Kettemborough’s international teaching career is moving well along with 6 MBA/DBA courses taught in China, various cities, at major universities.  On the IT professional front, Dr. Kettemborough is awarded the prestigious “NASA/JPL Leadership Award” for managing the Y2K Project Successful Completion, ahead of schedule.

1998 – The up trend continued with 64 courses at 6 schools.  Also, his long career experiences of online teaching started with his first course at the University of Phoenix.

199642 courses (what a jump!) for 7 different schools, many at the graduate level.  In addition, Dr. Kettemborough earns his 2nd doctorate in Business Administration and Management from the University of Santa Barbara, CA, with a DissertationIntroduction and Management of Leading Technologies in the Modern Business Enterprise” – Committee Chair Dr. Richard Irizary.  Also, he received the first teaching award (many to follow) from the University of Redlands – Instructor of the Year!  On the IT professional front, Dr. Kettemborough re-joined NASA/JPL as a Chief S/W Architect and Project Manager.

1995 – It looks like it only goes up from here with 28 courses for 4 schools.

1994 – This was the year of “explosion” (really taking off) in Dr. Kettemborough’s part-time teaching career, with 24 courses at 4 different schools.

1993 – Part-time teaching career continues with 4 courses at 2 different schools.  Dr. Kettemborough becomes the Director of MIS at Maxicare Health Plans in Los Angeles.

1992 – Dr. Kettemborough starts his part-time teaching career with 4 courses for 3 different schools.  Incidentally (or “luckily?”), this happened due to a period of being between jobs, after being laid-off from Rockwell Int’l, on the Space Station Program, due to cuts in the budget at NASA! On the Academic front, he earned his 3rd master’s, MBA from the University of La Verne.

1991 – With the collapse of the Soviet Union and all European Eastern Block, the US economy started shifting from the military and aerospace programs toward those with civil applications.  Thus, Dr. Kettemborough needs to adjust his IT career, and especially take advantage of the very large number of now unemployed people (mostly disappeared military/aerospace manufacturing jobs) to go back to school to re-train in different fields and careers – and that would be such a life-time opportunity for Dr. Kettemborough – see the coming years.

1990 – While at Rockwell Int’s working as a Task Manager in the IV&V area on the “Space Station Program” Mr. Kettemborough, gets the opportunity (and fulfills another dream) to visit ALL NASA centers, especially that in Houston, TX, and Cap Canaveral, Florida!

1989 – Now Dr. Kettemborough completes his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems (1989) at Pacific Western University in Los Angeles, CA, with a Dissertation “Software Engineering Methodologies, Tools and Techniques.” – Committee Chair: Dr. Norman Henteleff.

1988 – After 5 years at Xerox Corporation, Mr. Kettemborough fulfills a dream since his teenage years - working at NASA, Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, as a Mission/Software Assurance Engineer.

1987 – Mr. Kettemborough continues his IT career at Xerox Corp. and in parallel graduate doctoral studies.

1986 – After graduating with a second master’s in Management of Information Systems (both from West Coast University) – Thesis: Management of Enterprise Integrated Information Systems, Mr. Kettemborough, continued his graduate work by starting his doctorate in Computer Science and Information Systems.

1985 – After graduating with a master’s in Computer Science (Thesis: Software Engineering for Real-Time Systems), Mr. Kettemborough, continued his graduate work by starting a second master’s in Management of Information Systems.

1984 – Mr. Kettemborough decided to continue his academic education and training, besides his day job in IT, by going back to graduate school, to study for his master’s in Computer Science.  Then, besides working on his formal education Mr. Kettemborough started earning Professional Certifications, that over the years reached over 3 dozen!

1983 – Mr. Kettemborough arrived in the US in June and continued his IT career at Xerox Corporation in Los Angeles, as a S/W Engineer.

1976 – 1982 – After graduation from college (B.S. Mathematics – Diplomat in Science, minor in Computer Information Systems, Thesis: Mathematical Dynamic Programming Theory and Techniques with Applications) Mr. Kettemborough joined IBM (EU) and worked there as a Programmer/Analyst, until 1983 when he immigrated to the US.
